Owner/ Head Coach Scott Portney

I have been involved in the fitness industry for over 15 years and have owned  my own gym for over 5 years, helping people attain their goals in health and fitness.

 

Growing up I was very involved in sports and martial arts. After high school, I decided to learn more about fitness and earned my degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University.  After working a sales job for 7 years and training part time, I realized what I loved to do. I moved to Austin Texas to pursue my passion for teaching fitness. After training at Golds Gym Inc. for 1.5 years, I then started my own personal training business, Portney Peak Performance.  Seeing the limits of 1 on 1 training and wanting to reach more people, I decided to open my own Small Group Personal Training Studio to be able to train up to 25 people in one session. My goal is to provide a fun, quick  workout  while emphasizing  form and keeping their heart rate up.  I am excited to educate and motivate the Austin area and provide a judge free gym for all ages and fitness levels. EAF is a place to have fun, let your guard down while meeting others in the community and forming a TEAM atmosphere.

30 Minute HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) sessions for all ages and fitness levels.  We program all of our own workouts focusing on strength, mobility, endurance, stamina and emphasize on giving modifications for all injuries/limitations as well as giving harder progression/ variations to challenge the highest of fitness levels.  We have ages ranging from 25-75, making sure all of our members stay injury free.
